Our Story

AiMM & Co began its journey in 2007 as Aleyshopfitting, founded by lifelong friends Martyn Aley and Adrian Tomlin. Combining Martyn’s craftsmanship as a bench joiner and cabinet maker with Adrian’s expertise in screen printing and signage, the company set out to create bespoke display solutions for premium cosmetic and retail brands.

Operating initially from a 4,500 ft2 facility in Peckleton, Leicestershire, Aleyshopfitting quickly gained recognition for delivering exceptional quality.

In 2012, the company relocated to a 14,000 ft2 premises in Wigston, enabling expanded capacity and welcoming new clients such as Chanel & Dior.

A New Chapter

In 2019, Aleyshopfitting experienced the profound loss of co-founder Adrian Tomlin. His legacy remains in everything we do. Following this pivotal moment, Martyn Aley continued the journey by partnering with his friend of 25 years, Mark Wagstaff, bringing astute business acumen and leadership. Together, they brought a renewed energy and vision to the company. Joining them was Ian Sharpe, Aleyshopfitting’s first full-time employee, whose deep knowledge of the business added continuity and strength. As the company continued to grow, the team welcomed Adam Cooper — an accomplished and experienced professional — whose leadership played a key role in the company’s evolution. With this strong foundation, Aleyshopfitting was restructured with a clear focus: to modernise, elevate, and redefine our brand while staying true to the values we were built on.

Today, AiMM & Co operates under one roof, with fully integrated joinery, metalwork, spraying, project management, CNC machining, 2D & 3D CAD, giving us full control over quality, timelines and cost efficiency. We specialise in delivering bespoke, high-end retail and display solutions for leading global brands.

While retail remains a core focus, our team regularly delivers high-quality interior fitouts for a wide range of commercial environments — from offices and showrooms to hospitality spaces and brand activations. We bring the same precision, speed, and design-led thinking to every commercial brief.

Our core services also extend to homes and private residences. Whether it’s bespoke joinery, custom interiors, or design-led installations, we work closely with homeowners, architects and developers to create beautifully considered living spaces built to the highest standard.
